9 New York City Restaurants Offering Take-out for Christmas Day
Let Michelin-starred chefs handle the heavy lifting this holiday.
There's so much to love about Christmas Day, but the holiday is hardly without its stresses. After spending weeks whittling down your gift shopping list, wrapping all of those presents, not to mention the coordinating all of those holiday virtual meetups, you're ready to just relax. So the last thing you want to do is the spend hours in the kitchen on the big day preparing a feast; Especially when you could let these top New York City restaurants do the work, so all you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the season.
Here's a look at some of the top menus from around the city this Christmas available for pickup and delivery.
The Polo Bar
This holiday, Ralph Lauren's signature spot is offering a take-home holiday feast ($495 for four people) including their famous popovers, baby kale & shaved brussels sprouts salad, choice of peppercorn crusted prime beef tenderloin or poached king salmon and raspberry-truffle chocolate tart for dessert. For the complete experience, the package also comes with a holiday music playlist. Orders can be placed via phone at 212-207-8562 with pickup to be arranged from The Polo Bar from December 22-24 and December 29-31.
Eleven Madison Park
Take your holiday dinner to the next level with a reimagined take on chef Daniel Humm’s roast duck from this former Best Restuarnt in the World. The limited-run dinner ($475, serves four) features duck prepared two ways along with sides like potato puree and celery root veloute, a winter greens salad and a chocolate hazelnut tart for dessert. Guests can also opt for add-ons like truffles, large-format cocktails, or wine pairings. Plus, for every dinner purchased, Eleven Madison Park will donate 20 meals to New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity through their ongoing partnership with Rethink Food.
Orders must be placed by 5 PM two days prior to the pickup date.
Wayan
Cedric Vongerichten (son of Jean-Georges Vongerichten) and Ochi Vongerichten’s Indonesian-inspired spot will be offering prepared to-go feasts for 4 to 6 people from $688. The menu includes an ounce of caviar, fresh king crab legs with a sweet chili sauce, braised short ribs rawon with sambal terasi, eggplant balado, plus seasonal vegetables and side dishes, and a housemade Makrut lime pie for dessert. The three-course menu comes with beverage pairings including a large-format Slim-n-Slam cocktail, a bottle of red wine and Wayan’s signature (V)eggnog for a nightcap.

Leuca
This Brooklyn favorite will be serving Andrew Carmellini's southern Italian flavors in a special three course prix-fixe feast ($85 per person) for pick-up this Christmas, including a whole roasted rack of pork or short rib vesuvius with sides like roasted fingerling potatoes, charred broccoli rabe, and smoked beet salad with citrus, goat yogurt, and mint.
Orders must be placed by 9 PM on December 23 and will be available for pickup on December 24 and 25 from 12-8 PM.
Baar Baar
Spice up your celebrations this year with a festive feast for two for delivery, take-out, or on Baar Baar's heated patio from December 23 to January 1. Celebrating regional Indian flavors with a modern, holiday twist, the menu features options like jackfruit shikampuri kebab or duck haleem, tandoori chicken, paneer paturi, and sides like cumin-roasted fingerling potatoes and malai corn and spinach, plus a chocolate yule log.
Orders can be placed online beginning December 16.
Restaurant Daniel
Daniel Boulud's Upper East Side stalwart is making things merry and bright this season with a variety of luxe take-out options including a 1 pound duck foie gras terrine with brioche and a traditional hazelnut buche de noel as well as festive feasts for a crowd (from $1,800 to $3,600 for as many as ten people) including festive canapés, a seafood brunch, homemade breads, viennoiserie, artisanal cheeses, and holiday desserts as well as a New Year's Weekend Feast including brunch and dinner for four ($2,200) with canapés, lobster thermidor, smoked salmon, mont blanc, dark chocolate mousse, and hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows.
Bar Boulud
For a hearty, rustic celebration Bar Boulud is offering a Porchetta Holiday Box for pickup serving four to six people ($250) with mustard pork jus and a freshly baked baguette, brussel sprout caesar salad, sauteed fingerling potatoes, and a choux a la creme.
Jungsik
This two Michelin starred Korean spot will be offering a special to-go menu on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day ($135 per person) with five courses including a seasonal salad, Yookhwe Bibimbap (Wagyu beef tartare mixed rice), lobster, galbi, and a Christmas Wreath dessert. For New Year's Eve, they'll also offer a champagne and caviar package for two ($175) including 1 ounce of osetra caviar with a half-bottle of 2013 Louis Roderer Brut Rosé.
Bubby's
Have a holiday meal just like bubby used to make with Bubby’s take out Christmas Dinner packages with a choice of mains Old Fashioned Glazed Ham or Roasted Pallman Farms Turkey Breast plus family favorite holiday starters like biscuits and shrimp cocktails, sides like mac n’ cheese and green bean casserole, and of course pie.
All orders must be placed by end of day on December 17.
