Season five of Outlander takes place in the 1770s, amid the beginnings of the American revolution, but off-screen, some of the show's actors are better fit to live in the past than others.

Over the weekend, fans of the time-travel drama celebrated World Outlander Day on June 1, which marks the anniversary of the publication of Diana Gabaldon's first Outlander book.

In honor of the occasion, the stars of the series answered a few question from fans in a new video.

Notably, Richard Rankin and Sophie Skelton were tasked with a query about which members of the cast would "thrive on Fraser's Ridge" in the 1770s, and which stars would struggle.

Skelton didn't even have to think before calling out her co-stars, Heughan and Rankin. Apparently the men of Outlander are more tethered to their technology than their female counterparts.

"I think Richard would struggle because he wouldn't have his computer, and Sam would struggle because he wouldn't have Instagram," she says. "Cait and I would be fine because we'd have a good chat and whiskey. "

Her on-screen love interest agrees with her.

"I think that's probably true," Rankin says. "I think Caitriona and Sophie would probably fare the best in this time period. I would definitely struggle without my camera, my PC, tech, my phone."
