The Snap-T version was initially created in 1985, when it was "the most technical fleece and the best insulation available," a Patagonia spokesman explained when the brand recreated the design in 2015. The recognizable design elements—the pocket and contrasting trim—have remained unchanged, and now the jacket is being offered at up to 30 percent off its retail price of $139 at Moosejaw.
