Given social distancing requirements, this summer has provided a great opportunity for many of us to explore the outdoors. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is one such nature wanderer, as she and her husband, Prince Daniel, recently hiked the Swedish mountains.

According to the Princess's Instagram account, last weekend the pair hiked the Jämtland Triangle, one of Sweden's most famous trails. The royal couple is clearly in great shape, as the hike is 47 kilometers long, or roughly 29 miles. Victoria and Daniel completed the hike not only for their own enjoyment, but also "to draw attention to the work being done by the Swedish Tourist Association, and also to contribute to the promotion of the Swedish nature."

Crown Princess Victoria stopped to drink water out of a creek while hiking Sweden’s Jämtland Triangle.

While we often see the Princess in bejeweled tiaras, Victoria sported hiking gear for the excursion. She chose a blue flannel button up, navy pants, and hiking boots. She topped off the outfit with a navy blue New York Yankees baseball cap and a large black hiking pack. Her husband, Prince Daniel, dressed sportily as well, in a green windbreaker and grey cap.

Crown Princess Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel, stopped for a selfie during their hike. On Instagram, Victoria captioned this photo, "I’m in love with this pic😍❤."

The royal couple is no stranger to the outdoors. In her Instagram stories, Princess Victoria shared a 2017 memory of her and Prince Daniel's visit to Västergötland, in southwest Sweden. The photos show the pair hiking in the rain, with hoods up on their windbreakers, wandering alongside a creek, and even maneuvering a horse-drawn plow. In addition, Princess Victoria set out to hike all 25 provinces of Sweden, an accomplishment she completed last year.

Indeed, the Swedish royals clearly have no trouble trading their high heels for hiking boots. We'll just have to wait and see where Victoria and Daniel trek next.
