Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aren't letting their newfound proximity to Hollywood go to waste. The duo has signed a landmark, multi-year deal with Netflix to produce a wide range of content—documentaries, docu-series, movies, scripted shows, and children’s content—under their new, yet-to-be-named production company.

Here's what we know so far about what's to come from the Sussex's Netflix deal.

Netflix co-CEO Reed Hastings thinks it will be some of the company's "most viewed content."

In an appearance on CNBC's Squawk Box, Hastings shared his excitement for what the Sussexes will be making. "It's gonna be epic entertainment—so excited about that deal," he said. "They're smart—they were shopping it around across all of the major companies, and I think we really put together the best complete package, and we're going to do a wide range of entertainment with them."

Hastings also suggested that we can expect some of the royal couple's TV shows and movies to debut in 2021, saying, "I think it'll be some of the most exciting, most viewed content next year."

Expect TV shows and movies with a purpose.

"Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope," the couple said in a statement to the New York Times when the deal was first announced. "As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us." They believe that Netflix’s "unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action."

Added Ted Sarandos, Netflix's co-CEO and chief content officer, in a statement, "We’re incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere."

The royal couple attend one of their final engagements as working royals.

We just might see the royal couple onscreen.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex haven't the possibility of appearing on-camera as themselves in these shows and films—or in voice-over, as Meghan did for Disney's documentary Elephant—but Meghan has long maintained that her acting career is in the past.

A few details about the Sussexes' content plans have begun trickling out.

Harry and Meghan already have one show—an animated children's series about inspiring women—in the works.

Prior to inking the deal with the streaming service, Harry also appeared in Netflix's recently-released documentary Rising Phoenix, which illuminates the history of the Paralympic Games.
